Pre-Thanksgiving ‘80s Ski Party with Ronnie Raygun at ViewHouse Centennial. Breckenridge Brewery hosts this fun event with free drinks, giveaways, and live music from ‘80s cover band Ronnie Raygun & the Big 80’s all night long. One lucky winner will take home an exclusive Never Summer snowboard to start the winter season off right. ViewHouse will have heaters and fire pits surrounding the stage with complimentary hot chocolate and apple cider. Bring a toy to donate for their Volunteers of America toy drive. and get a free Peppermint Godiva Chocolate Martini.

Using actors and museum trains, the magic of the popular movie will be captured and brought to life. Performances include hot chocolate, cookies, a train ride, visit with Santa and the “First Gift of Christmas.”

City of Brighton Turkey Trot 5K Run/Walk at Brighton Recreation Center. The 30th Annual Turkey Trot is a flat, fast race for runners, walkers, wheelers and strollers of every ability and age. If you’re a serious runner, the course is a speedy one and also an official BolderBOULDER qualifying race. The entry fee also includes a t-shirt, breakfast and prize raffle.

Starlighting Ceremony in Downtown Castle Rock. Presented by the Castle Rock Chamber of Commerce, the Castle Rock “Lighting of the Star” has been a community event shared by residents dating back to 1935. This year’s celebration will include carriage rides, hot chocolate, nonprofit booths, live entertainment, and Santa will be present for photos and visits. 9NEWS’s Gary Shapiro will emcee the Starlighting which will be followed by a fireworks show.
