1-RiNoSpotLight RiNo/Five Points
Friday, 4/10, 6pm
Art Directors Club of Denver 11th Annual Paper Fashion Show at Bindery on Blake. The ADCD Paper Fashion Show is the largest paper fashion show in the nation and all for a great cause. Design teams from all industries and backgrounds come together for this event to showcase their creative and innovative talents. Partial proceeds from the show benefit Downtown Aurora Visual Arts, a community-based arts education program for at-risk youth ages 3 to 17. Ticket holders will get the chance to see dozens of breath-taking, original, paper-based designs take to the runway and compete for top awards.

2-BoulderSpotLight Boulder
Friday, 4/10, 8pm

Block 1750 One-Year Anniversary Party. The Block is a performing arts community center that provides a home for people of all ages and backgrounds—a place for kids to study, socialize, dance and create. Tonight, they celebrate their first anniversary with food, music and—of course—dancing. There will be a potluck-style dinner and cake followed by dancing all night to Dia DJAbsolute.

Adam Cayton-Holland Backyards Album Release Party at The Hi Dive. Adam Cayton-Holland is one of the biggest names in Denver comedy, and tonight he celebrates the release of his second album, Backyards. The album is being released through Illegal Pete’s label, the Greater Than Collective and was recorded at the esteemed Comedy Attic in Bloomington, Indiana, but Cayton-Holland is bringing the celebration back home. The launch will include comedy sets from local favorites Kevin O’Brien and Troy Walker and music from the Ned Garthe Explosion and Total Ghost. Admission is $10 or $12 at the door, and includes a copy of the CD.

Colorado Tartan Day Festival at Roosevelt Park. Celebrate Celtic heritage at this weekend-long festival. View performances by Colorado Youth Pipe Dance & Dancers, 79th Highlanders, and historical re-enactors, dance to highland rock & roll with Angus Mohr and Celtic Legacy, and support participating vendors.

SpotLight Littleton
Saturday, 4/11, 9am – 9pm
Tattered Cover Aspen Grove Grand Opening Celebration. To celebrate the launch of their newest store, Tattered Cover has a day filled with readings, games and giveaways. Local author Justin Matott, whose picture books include When I Was a Girl…I Dreamed and When I Was a Boy…I Dreamed will offer up a very special story time at 10:30am along with a fun activity for young guests. At 2pm, the store will welcome local young adult authors Emily Hainsworth, author of the romantic sci-fi thriller Through to You, and Brenna Yovanoff, author of the creepy, magical novel Fiendesh, for a celebration of their books. Plus there will be giveaways, yummy treats and guests can even enter to win a $100 shopping spree!

Denver Auto Show at Colorado Convention Center. The Denver Auto Show is the largest new car display between Chicago and Los Angeles, and North America’s second-oldest auto show, showcasing the hottest cars and trucks all under one roof. 36 car lines will display more than 500 vehicles, including concept carts, the latest in luxury cars, popular “green cars,” custom styling and accessories. You can also test drive new cars in downtown Denver as part of the “Ride & Drive event” and enjoy entertainment for the whole family!

6th Annual Frank Shorter RACE4Kids’ Health 5K & Health Odyssey Expo at 1STBANK Center. Whole Foods, Healthy learning Paths, and Olympic Gold Medalist Frank Shorter are on a mission to create happier, healthier kids. Join in on the RACE4Kids’ Health to make your BolderBoulder 5K time, enjoy the unique Health Odyssey Expo (where science, engineering and health collide for kids), and participate in fun family events. Compete in the new Mazzola’s Miracle Mile Relay with a four-person team or sign your young runner up for the Diaper Dash and Buzz. bRUNch at Lou’s Food Bar. bRUNch is back for the season! This unique social group combines pre-routed 5K and 10K training runs with a pre fixe menu (usually brunch and a couple of morning-friendly alcoholic beverages). There are no membership fees, just purchase a ticket, choose which run you prefer and show up! The Denver 2015 schedule starts with a run around LoHi and then one of five dishes paired with Bloody Marys, Screwdrivers, Mimosas or beers back at Lou’s.

Sunday, 4/12, 6 – 9pm

Denver Game of Thrones Viewing Party at The Armoury. With the return of the über-popular series for its fifth season comes the return of one of Denver’s favorite watch parties. In addition to being able to watch the show on the big screen, attendees can win weekly prizes, including a $25 bar tab for the best fantasy or GoT cosplay. There’s also an ongoing raffle for a GoT-insprired snowboard, music from house band Daenerys and the Targaryens, and lots of other fun and games for fans, including themed drink specials and free “blood” shots every time a major character dies.
