Friday, 3/27, 5 – 6:30pm
Boulder Arts Week Opening Party at Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art. Celebrate the opening of the second annual Boulder Arts Week with this fantastic party. The evening’s festivities include Boulder Fringe Festival’s signature “All You Can Artist Buffet” where you can see up to 15 artists and performers preview their upcoming Arts Week attractions, and a live performance by BMoCA Present Box artists Kristen Hatgi Sink and Jillian FitzMaurice. This event is family friendly and free to attend.

2-GoldenSpotLight Golden
Friday, 3/27 until 7pm and Saturday, 3/28, 8am – 4pm

Beautiful Junk Sale at the Jefferson County Fairgrounds Exhibit Hall. This event, touted as the largest bargain shopping extravaganza in Jefferson County, offers 10,500 square feet of jewelry, collectibles, vintage odds-and-ends, a vast array of household items, sporting goods, holiday decor, kitchen gadgets and much more. General admission is $3 for everyone 16 and older, but bring two or more non-perishable food donations and receive $1 off of admission!

SpotLight Regis
Saturday, 3/28, 9am
14th Annual César E Chávez Day March at Regis University. This event, put on by The César Chávez Peace and Justice Committee of Denver has been celebrating the memory of a great leader since 2002. Join the march from Regis University to César E. Chávez Park for an awards presentation, poetry, art, music, speakers, dancers and food.

Saturday & Sunday, 3/28 & 3/29, 11am – 7pm
UMX: Ultimate Music Xperience at The Celtic Tavern & Delaneys Bar. The Ultimate Music Xperience (UMX) is an annual two-day battle of the bands with FREE admission which showcases some of Denver’s best undiscovered musical talent and the freshest, emerging bands in the area. Approximately 60 local and solo and group acts will compete for a chance to play at one of th largest music venues in the state: the 44th Annual CHUN Capitol Hill People’s Fair!

SpotLight Longmont
Saturday, 3/28, noon – 5pm
Hops + Handrails 2015: Beer Fest & Rail Jam at Roosevelt Park. Left Hand Brewing is bringing the mountain to the people with 50 of their brewery friends! Back for its third year, this hybrid winter event features a 50 craft brewery fest alongside a 40+ high snowboard ramp and rail jam competition. Join in for five hours of unlimited tasters from the best breweries across the US while watching Colorado’s best riders do flips and tricks off the ramp! Plus live music, a kid zone, local food and vendors.

SpotLight Aurora
Saturday, 3/28, 1pm & 4 pm and Sunday, 3/29, 7pm

Plays in Progress Series at Aurora Fox Studio Theater. As part of the Athena Project Arts Festival, the Plays in Progress Series features workshop level productions designed for an audience to give feedback. This series is made up of new works exclusively written by female playwrights, with one play selected to be fully produced for next year’s Athena Project Arts Festival.

Funky Brunch at Grandma’s House. Get funky the last Saturday of every month at Grandma’s House with your host Mara Wiles, a great lineup of comedians, and local music—this month form DJ Erin Stereo. This month’s comedians are Kevin O’Brien, Timmi Lasley and Aaron Urist with some stand-up and other surprises that the Funky Brunch has in store. Roulette Presents “Party in Your Pantsuit” at Share Denver. “Party in Your Pantsuit is the office-themed event of your dreams…and you boss’s nightmares. Sunday, 3/29, noon – 5pm

Kids Day at Wings Over the Rockies Air & Space Museum. Bring your kids to experience STEM-based, aerospace and aviation-themed activities stationed throughout the hangar. Kids can launch themselves skyward on a giant trampoline, experience G-forces on a human gyroscope, learn about aerodynamics by creating paper airplanes, try their hand at flying R/C planes, and much more. They can even have quiet time by watching a children’s movie or grab a snack at the food stations. Admission is free for Wings Members and regular admission fees apply for non-members.
